My beautiful children.

Faith, age 5, Christian, 17, Trinity, 7.

Love of my life.

Wanted to share the love of my life. Isn't he gorgeous. This picture was taken a few weeks back in Santa Barbara by Shawn Dollar, a friend of ours, while the two of them were off surfing. I love this man.

It's been a while :)

It's been a while since I've posted, but I wanted to post one of the beautiful necklaces I made months ago after doing a bead exchange. A friend of mine loved it so much, I gave it to her :)

Just an ordinary Tootsie Pop

I'm laying on the floor of my bedroom, enjoying an ordinary cherry Tootsie Pop.  Only this one has a story. I picked this one up from an art show back in October, as a souvenier only now to be enjoyed!
I've admired the work of Sabrina Ward Harrison for over five years.  It started out when I viewed a few of her art books at my friend Mary Keith's house.  I was instantly hooked!  I bought the books and have since purchased all five of Sabrina's books.  She is amazing.  Occasionally she will host workshops, which will cost you an arm and a leg...not something I've been fortunate enough to do YET!  But back in October I got an email from another very talented artist, Christine Mason Miller, letting me know she was going to be part of an art show that would also include the work of other artists....including Sabrina Ward Harrison!!  I immediately checked into flights & hotel accomodations.  I convinced my mom to drive down to L.A. and we met there!  We showed up a few days early to enjoy the city and each others company.  Needless to say, it was amazing.  Just being with my mom in Venice Beach was enough to make me happy!  But then Saturday night came and we were off to see the art show.  There were five artists in total, and each of them was amazing. But  I was awestruck when I saw Sabrina's art live.  The minute I walked in the door it was there, looking back at me.  Reminding me to hope, to dream, and to create.  She had photographs from her True Living Project, life size art on a wall as big as my living room!  It's one thing to see her art in the pages of a book, it's another all together to view it in real life.  I was so impressed.  The whole evening was magical.  My mom and I stayed a few hours, taking in all the art and enjoying watching others take it in.  I had a chance to meet Sabrina and speak with her for twenty minutes or so.  We sat on the floor together and she signed all my books.  It was really neat. I know I probably sound like a kid, but I've never been so inspired by someone in my whole life and to meet her in person was, well, surreal.  It was amazing.  This is the woman who reminded me that life doesn't have to be perfect or neat.  Life, and the art created from it, is one messy...thrilling life.  Thank you Sabrina, wherever you are tonight!  Thank you for helping me create my own story, find the art in me, and be brave on the rocks. And thanks for the Tootsie Pop.
